Ali Mayar is the CEO and founder of Platinum Rapid Funding Group; a Long Island based merchant cash advance company. Mayar a self-starter and entrepreneur got his start in the corporate security field. He was introduced to the alternative finance industry and decided to shift gears. Shortly after, Mayar founded Platinum Rapid Funding Group. He played to his strong points, determination and his strong work ethic. Ali Mayar has been able to grow Platinum Rapid Funding Group into what it is now, a successful and efficient funding solution for any business.
Outside of work, Ali Mayar is a family man and enjoys spending time with family and friends. Mayar is also really into the automobile industry and is a big fan of music. As said prior, Ali Mayar is a self-starter and determined entrepreneur, now that he is in a leadership position he enjoys inspiring and motivating his team to help encourage success.
What was your favorite subject in school?
I’d have to say my favorite subject in school would have to be all of my business classes. I loved them because they opened my eyes to so much. School didn’t only open my eyes to the business world but also taught me about structure and independence. Both are so important to my success now in life.
Where and how did you first get into the industry you currently work in?
I was first introduced to the alternative financial industry while I was at my other job. I was intrigued by it and really interested. I worked to learn more about this industry and formed Platinum Rapid Funding Group. I love the industry and am so very lucky and happy to be in it.
How have those jobs prepared you for what you do now?
My earlier jobs really did help instill a few very important virtues that are still consistent today. First, my work ethic is something I learned a while back. Also, my determination and hard-working mentality are both very important. Lastly, my ability to lead and inspire, I had some good bosses and some bad ones, but I learned to adapt and become an approachable and inspirational leader.
Describe the best day of work you’ve ever had?
The best day of work was when I realized what my dream was and acted upon it. The day I started Platinum Rapid Funding Group is easily the best day I’ve had. Something about finding what you are passionate about and acting on it. Definitely the best day of work I’ve ever had.
How do you keep yourself motivated?
I’m very determined. I want to keep pushing myself to continually set the bar higher.
What kind of business ideas excites you most?
I’d have to say the most exciting business ideas are the innovative and creative ones. Innovation is a factor in success. We want to keep pushing ourselves and continually impress our current clients and attract new clients.
Have you ever tried any unorthodox techniques to attract attention to your business?
I’d say social media was a pretty unorthodox approach a few years back. It really took off and now is a staple of ours. A fantastic way to not only communicate with our clients but also the reach of social media is vast yet targeted.
What personal achievement are you most proud of?
Following my dreams and opening Platinum Rapid Funding Group is one of my fondest achievements. There were times I doubted myself but seeing the end result is unbelievable. This is definitely one of my proudest moments.
What wisdom would you have liked to share with yourself when you first started out?
This is a tough one. The one piece of advice I wish I knew when I started would have to be to never second-guess myself. It’s nerve racking starting a company, taking a leap of faith. There were times that I was unsure if this was the best decision for me. I stuck with it and have been so happy with the progress, just wish I knew that when I was starting.
