Christine Crane

As a co-founder of BoldLeads, Christine Crane boldly declared what so many of her peers in the real estate industry had known to be true for quite some time: Lead generation was broken and in desperate need of repair. While many recognized this to be a fundamental truth, not much corrective action had been taken until Ms. Crane and her son, Danny, developed a lead generation system designed to replace and enhance the existing practices that had proved to be so wildly inefficient and ineffective.
In creating the lead generation system now known as BoldLeads, Ms. Crane has made it possible for real estate agents in markets all over the country to benefit from access to a pipeline of prospective clients that is self-replenishing and enables agents to devote a greater focus on earning commissions and addressing the needs of their existing clients. In what has become a hallmark of her professional career, Ms. Crane refused to allow such a devastatingly inefficient practice to inhibit her success or the success of others, so she instead became inspired to come up with a solution that would benefit the industry as a whole.
Before founding BoldLeads, Ms. Crane enjoyed a career as a thriving real estate agent, and her professional acumen in theindustry allowed her to sell millions of dollars in real estate. It was this acumen that also allowed her to realize that there was something very wrong about the way agents generated future clients, and it was these inefficient practices that limited her database and her potential for future earnings. With an automated system in place and a sophisticated approach to marketing, Ms. Crane and the team at BoldLeads have demonstrated the importance of taking action to address an obvious inefficiency rather than allowing that inefficiency to continue to adversely affect professional responsibilities.
What was your best/favorite subject in school?
I loved the arts and the humanities very much, but my best subjects were always math-related. Economics was likely my best subject.
What was your first job?
I worked in a little bakery making pastries and desserts.
Where and how did you first get into the industry you currently work in?
Real estate seemed like an ideal profession for me since it provides an opportunity to interact with people as they make acritical life decision and also allows me to perform the market analyses I so thoroughly enjoy.
How have those jobs prepared you for what you do now?
Though they hardly seem related, my job in the bakery showed me how placing limits on creativity could significantly inhibit the success of any business.
Describe the best day of work you’ve ever had.
After we tested the system through a small pilot program, I began using BoldLeads myself. I was just beside myself with joy when I saw just how effective it was.
How do you keep yourself motivated?
I’ve never been the kind of person who can be content with complacency, so I am always looking for any way our business can be improved.
What kind of business ideas excite you most?
Any idea that gives professionals more time to work with their clients or customers is something that I can get behind. There just needs to be a greater focus on developing interpersonal relationships in business.
Have you ever tried any unorthodox techniques to attract attention to your business?
Yes, we have. We have adapted components of social media and viral marketing strategies to suit our needs and to create a greater degree of visibility among real estate agents.
What personal achievement are you most proud of?
It may seem silly, but I am most proud of the fact that my son still appreciates my baking skills and is always asking for banana bread to share with just about anyone he meets.
What wisdom you would have liked to share with yourself when you first started out?
Never hesitate to challenge the status quo if you feel there is something better that can be done.
