Ralph Slaske

A longtime resident of Northwest Ohio, Ralph Slaske has gone to great lengths to serve the people of the area through the services offered by Ralph Slaske Builders. As the founder and owner of a custom homebuilding business, Mr. Slaske has always championed a client-centered approach that ensures a homebuilding outcome that accurately reflects the client’s vision for their ideal home. In order to adhere to this philosophy, Mr. Slaske has created a company capable of handling just about every aspect of the homebuilding process from the initial concept design to the final staging and interior decorating.

Mr. Slaske founded Ralph Slaske Builders on the simple principle that a homebuyer seeking a custom home deserves to work with a builder that understands the true meaning of the word “custom.” Recognizing that many builders that claim to offer custom homes are actually providing cookie-cutter designs featuring variations or custom options rather than actually designing a unique home according to the specific wishes of the client, Mr. Slaske decided to leave his position in the corporate world to create a company that could legitimately provide custom-designed homes.

Before founding Ralph Slaske Builders, Mr. Slaske worked with a number of outstanding corporations as both an engineer and a project manager, drawing on an impressive academic background that includes a degree in engineering earned from the University of Toledo. A natural leader who has always taken an interest in every aspect of a company’s operational philosophies, Mr. Slaske has worked diligently to consistently improve his own company’s practices in order to better serve his clients. As a result, Ralph Slaske Builders has developed a phenomenal reputation throughout the Northwest Ohio area and has been held aloft as an ideal model for custom homebuilding companies across the whole of the United States.

What was your best/favorite subject in school?

Without question and on both counts, mathematics was always my best and favorite subject at every level of schooling.

What was your first job?

In high school and in college, I worked on construction crews in a variety of capacities.

Where and how did you first get into the industry you currently work in?

It became entirely evident that homebuyers seeking a custom home could not find a builder truly willing or perhaps even capable of creating a custom home. I felt it necessary to create a company that could provide that to homebuyers.

How have those jobs prepared you for what you do now?

My prior professional experience has allowed me to have a clear vision of how the ideal custom construction company should operate from top to bottom.

Describe the best day of work you’ve ever had.

The best day was probably the first time we presented a finished home to a client, but seeing the client’s reaction following the completion of any build is always a wonderful feeling.

How do you keep yourself motivated?

We build homes that our clients plan on living in for a very long time, so I never want to provide them anything other than the very best I have to offer.

What kind of business ideas excite you most?

I see a lot of old ideas being repackaged and presented as new ideas, so I am always excited by any truly original idea.

Have you ever tried any unorthodox techniques to attract attention to your business?

Not that I can recall. I prefer to let the quality of our work speak for itself.

What personal achievement are you most proud of?

Choosing a profession that provides a highly beneficial service to people who would not otherwise have access to that service.

What wisdom you would have liked to share with yourself when you first started out?

I wish I would have founded Ralph Slaske Builders much earlier than I did, but I have certainly benefited from the whole of my professional experience.
